Short Term Rentals
Licensing & Taxes
The Town of Hochatown is partnering with Granicus to enhance services for our short-term rental market. Effective October 1, 2024, we will no longer work with Avenu. This decision was made by the Town in order to provide a higher quality of service to the Town of Hochatown's short-term rental (STR) market.
What to Expect: The transition to Granicus will occur in two stages:
-
Temporary Solution: This will simplify the process for property owners and managers, reducing filing time, improving licensing and tax remittance.
-
Long-Term Enhanced Portal:This comprehensive portal will offer features like account log-ins, bulk remittance for lodging tax, streamlined renewals, automated reminders and more. It is anticipated the Enhanced Portal will take 10-12 months before going live.

STR TAX PORTAL
is Undergoing Repairs
The Short Term Rental (STR) lodging tax portal is currently unavailable while system adjustments are made. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period.
What to Do:
If You Registered Your STR License Through Avenu:
Use Your 10-digit Avenu STR License Number to Remit Lodging Taxes.
If You Haven't Registered an STR License Yet:
Complete the new online STR License Application available on this page.
You will receive an STR License number to use for tax payments.
Once You Receive Your STR License Number:
You can remit lodging tax using the
Town's Tax Collection Form available through the Monthly Lodging Tax Collection Portal above.
After submitting, you'll get a PDF copy for your records. You'll use this form monthly until the full portal launches in about 10-12 months.
